Bruny Island Ferry Timetable
The SeaLink Bruny Island Ferry service operates 365 days per year. The ferry crossing to and from Bruny Island takes just 20 minutes.The ferry departs from Kettering (from Tasmania), which is located 35 minutes from Hobart by road, and Roberts Point (from Bruny Island).
GETTING TO BRUNY ISLAND
Access to Bruny Island is by car ferry, a vehicular and passenger ferry that departs from Kettering, a 40-minute drive south of Hobart, or about one (1) hour from Hobart airport.Bruny Island Ferry services operate every day, all year round.
The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes, departs regularly throughout the day, and there is currently no requirement to book in advance. However, you should allow plenty of additional time during peak periods such as Christmas, New Year, Easter, and throughout the school holidays. The ferry ride lands on Bruny Island at Roberts Point.
A car/ any form of vehicle is necessary to visit Bruny Island. There is no public transport on Bruny Island and there is some distance between tourist destinations and the ferry.
If you don’t have a car, we recommend you rent one from Hobart airport or pre-book online.
